How it works

One screen, installed once, that nobody can take out

SemperScreen® is the only non-removable permanent sink screen. It captures food debris at the drain opening, before anything reaches the pipe, and it stays in place whoever is using the sink.

What happens at the drain

  1. Debris stops at the opening

Food scraps, peelings, coffee grounds and rice hit the screen at the top of the drain instead of travelling into the pipe where they collect.

  2. Water keeps moving

Proprietary double-walled technology means the perforation surface area exceeds the connecting pipe, so the screen captures debris without becoming the new bottleneck.

  3. You scoop, once in a while

Whatever is caught sits on top where you can see it. It goes in the bin or the compost caddy in a couple of seconds.

  4. Nothing changes when you are not looking

The screen cannot be popped out, lost, or left off, so the drain is protected identically on the day it is fitted and two years later.

Why non-removable is the whole point

A removable basket protects a drain only while somebody remembers to put it back. Lift it out to empty a pot, leave it on the counter, and the drain is open until the next person notices. That is human error that no training program fixes.

SemperScreen® mounts into the drain body during installation. There is no lift-out step, nothing to misplace, and nothing for a tenant, a guest, or a new member of staff to defeat. Protection stops depending on behaviour.

Fitting it

Installation takes ~15 minutes per drain. It is a retrofit into the existing drain assembly with no plumbing modifications, so it does not need a re-pipe, a permit conversation, or a specialist.

It fits standard 3½" drains, which covers the large majority of kitchen sinks. Unusually thick or older basins need a modification that adds about 5 minutes per screen.

Installation instructions and fitting videos are on the support page.

Cleaning it

Just scoop it out! Debris collects on top of the screen where you can see it and goes into the bin or the compost caddy. Nothing to disassemble, no filter to replace, no moving part to fail.

Holding water in the basin

Because the screen does not lift out, filling the sink needs a stopper made to sit on it. The SemperStopper™ is produced specifically for that, at 3" x 1-1/8" x 3".
